Part-Time Police Communications Specialist
The Hampton Police Department is seeking several qualified individuals for the position of Part-Time Police Communications Specialist (Dispatcher). The Community of Hampton is a tourist destination located along the beautiful New Hampshire Seacoast. Our Agency serves a Full-time population of 15,000 that swells during our busier summer months. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team consisting of 9 Civilians in support of 34 Full-Time and 70 Part-Time Sworn Officers. Our Emergency Communications Center is located within the Police Station at Hampton Beach.
Our Communications Center is a 24 hour operation that is fast-paced and multi-function. Successful candidates should have strong communications skills, the ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively while under pressure, basic phone skills, radio and computer skills. Part-time Dispatchers primarily work a regular schedule during our busy summer months. Our summer schedule runs from June-September. They are eligiible to work during the off season to cover, vacation, sick and training days.
