IACP Advanced Supervision
Three-Day Advanced Leadership Concepts

Hosted by Hampton Police Department & IACP Center for Police Leadership and Training
Instructed by Larry W. Mathieson

In our ever-changing and increasingly complicated world, the role of the supervisor has become progressively more complex. Global, national, and local events including terrorism; school shootings; cuts in federal and local funding; and changes in the generational, ethnic, and gender composition of the workforce create challenges for the supervisor that are more significant than ever before.  Accordingly, every supervisor must view development as an ongoing process to ensure that individuals and agencies remain relevant and effective.

Utilizing a variety of learning tools and techniques, participants in the IACP Advanced Supervision Program will learn how to apply contemporary supervision and leadership concepts within this evolving and changing environment.  In this regard, team process and achievement is a focal point of the program content and group exercises.
