Welcome to the Hampton Conservation Commission’s Website!

Wear blaze orange or other bright colors when on Conservation land!
Avoid wearing dark colors.
The Hampton Conservation Commission was formed to protect and preserve the existing freshwater and saltwater wetlands, and wetland buffers in Hampton. It is in the public interest to protect the valuable functions these areas serve, such as providing habitats for fish, wildlife and flora; groundwater protections; stormwater control; nutrient and pollution filtering; and recreation and aesthetic enjoyment.
One of the ways in which the Commission does this is through protecting the Wetland Conservation District which is defined and outlined within the Town Zoning Ordinances. Those can be found here.
Please be aware- the November NHDES permit application deadline, site walk and meeting dates in the 2023 application form is incorrect. The correct date of the NHDES permit application deadline is November 20th by 5pm, the correct date of the site walk is November 25th and the correct date of the meeting is November 28th. Please reach out to Brianna O'Brien, Conservation Coordinator, with any questions. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.
